Amazing Protein Production Yields in Transient CHO and HEK-293 Expression Systems with FectoPRO®
Transient protein expression is a common bioproduction process used to produce milligram to gram quantities of recombinant proteins and antibodies for a wide range of applications. However, when compared to stable expression platforms, the overall yield of transient protein expression remains weak, limiting its use in bioproduction processes. One of the manufacturing strategies for improving the transient productivity is then to increase transfection efficiency. We have developed a novel technologically advanced transfection solution, FectoPRO®, which outperforms currently available PEI-based and lipid-based transfection reagents. This poster presents data and protocol leading to remarkable protein and antibody yields in different transient CHO and HEK-293 expression systems.
PEIpro®: a Well Characterized PEI Optimized for an Efficient and Reliable Transient Protein Production
Transient protein expression in mammalian cell lines has gained increasing relevance as it enables fast and flexible production of high-quality eukaryotic protein. Milligram amounts of protein can be produced within several days, meaning a significant shortening of process time in comparison to protein production from stable clones. However, to ensure the robustness of the process, it is absolutely necessary to have a reliable transfection solution. That’s why we developed PEIpro®, an enhancement of the gold standard PEI, optimized for transient protein expression and perfectly suitable for the development of bioproduction processes with great scale-up predictability. In this poster, we present experimental data showing the benefits of using PEIpro® for protein production, and its efficiency in comparison to other PEIs.
Meet our team to discuss how to improve your Bioproduction system. We will be happy to answer all your questions regarding transfection and to present you relevant products adapted to your experiments.

Our solutions for Bioproduction
FectoPRO® Transfection kit is specifically designed for enhanced Transient Gene Expression (TGE) in suspension CHO and HEK-293 cells in various serum-free media, using low DNA amount (< 1 µg/ml of cell culture).
PEIpro® is a DNA transfection reagent for production of viruses, recombinant proteins and antibodies either in adherent cells in presence of serum or in suspension HEK-293 cells grown in low serum or serum-free media.
PEIpro®-HQ is a highly qualified grade of PEIpro® reagent, especially developed for the production of clinical batches of viral vectors or recombinant proteins and antibodies. The PEIpro®-HQ grade is supplied with appropriate Quality Controls and documentation allowing its use as a qualified raw material in GMP processes for the manufacturing of clinical batches of therapeutic products.
