Gene expression

Process of gene expression entails plasmid DNA or mRNA delivery to specific cells and is a technique routinely utilized in labs to study a gene of interest or a signaling pathway. Gene expression usually allows transient protein production, but in some cases stable integration into a genome and continuous protein production over time is required. In addition, different cell types show specific requirements for successful gene expression and thus each represent unique challenges. Polyplus-transfection offers solutions for each of these processes as well as reagents for a wide variety of cells including hard to transfect cells.
