Position Summary

The Project Manager – New Product Introduction has a global overview of all the ongoing product launches at Polyplus. As part of the New Product Introduction team, the Project manager will play the leading role in maintaining product launches on track by working in close collaboration with Product Management, R&D and Operations, and will help our portfolio growth and profitability. He/she will lead the cross-functional project teams from product concept to commercialization through a stage/gate process.

The Project Manager – New Product Introduction reports to the Global Marketing Director.


Main missions:

  • Lead the cross-functional project teams from product concept to commercialization
  • Implement a stage/gate product development process in agreement with R&D managers and product managers
  • Manage new product development projects through the gate process
  • Be accountable for meeting the user requirement specifications together with the internal time, quality and costs objectives
  • Interacts strongly with R&D, Marketing, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finances, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Development and other stakeholders
  • Provide clear communication of the overall project scope, timing, funding requirements and resource analysis to the sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Manage the project risks and associated mitigation/contingency plans and communicate them to the sponsors as appropriated.
  • Manage the project issues, defining the adequate plan of action and escalating to the sponsors/stakeholders
  • Develop and manage an overall plan that integrates key activities of all functions associated with design, development, validation, and commercialization.
  • Develop a transverse planning to meet project deadlines and ensure successful On-Time product launches


Desired education and / or experience

  • Master or Engineer’s degree in biology, pharma or chemistry.
  • 2 years minimal experience, ideally in project management in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Experience in lifescience
  • Project Management education or training certification would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software (MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Good understanding of product launch
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to drive for / deliver results.
  • Autonomous with cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
