STICKY SIRNA™
New RNAi therapeutics
![]() |
STICKY SIRNA™ therapeutics are compositions comprising a new class of interfering RNAs combined with the cationic linear polyethylenimine (PEI) delivery reagent (in vivo–jetPEI™).The technology involves extending the 3’-overhangs of siRNAs with short complementary (dA)5-8 / (dT)5-8 3’ sequences which are able to form long double-stranded RNA concatemers in the presence of PEI. The concatemers form stable nanoparticles reminiscent of DNA/PEI complexes, and show higher silencing efficiency in preclinical models as compared to non oligomerized siRNA.These STICKY SIRNA™ therapeutics are promising drug candidates for a wide variety of pathologies.

STICKY SIRNA™ technology is based on modified interfering double-stranded RNA oligomerized in the presence of linear polyethylenimine (in vivo–jetPEI™), thereby increasing delivery and silencing efficiency of siRNA.
- Complex stability increased in the presence of blood or serum
- Increased delivery and silencing efficiency in the presence of PEI as compared to classical siRNA both in vitro or in vivo
- Deconcatemerization once inside the cytoplasm
- RISC-mediated silencing
- Absence of pro-inflammatory and interferon-mediated immune response
