Polyethylenimine (PEI) and derivatives
Polyplus-transfection is the worldwide exclusive licensee of PEI (Polyethylenimine) and derivatives for stable and transient transfection of cells.
The purchase of jetPEI™ conveys the buyer the right to perform transfection using jetPEI™ in any applications including biomanufacturing applications and commercial services. The purchase of this product does not include the right to resell, repackage, or further sublicense any Polyethylenimine and derivatives for transfection purposes.
“The use of polyethylenimine (PEI) or polypropylenimine (PPI) or cationic polymers similar in structure thereto for transfecting cells, as well as compositions comprising these cationic polymers and at least one nucleic acid, are the subject matter of U.S. Patent No. 6,013,240, EP Patent No. 0770140 and foreign equivalents, for which Polyplus-transfection™ is the worldwide exclusive licensee.”
STICKY SIRNA™
Polyplus-transfection has developed the STICKY SIRNA™ as part of their RNAi research program.
Polyplus is also seeking to license STICKY SIRNA™ to oligonucleotide manufacturers and to Biotechnologies or Pharmaceutical companies working on RNA interference for therapeutic developments.
ZNA™ (Zip Nucleic Acid)
Polyplus has developed a new class of modified oligonucleotides improving hybridization properties of nucleic acids.
ZNA™ technology is available for licensing. More specifically, Polyplus is seeking to license synthesis and commercialization of ZNA™ molecules to oligonucleotide manufacturers. We are also interested in licensing ZNA™ to Molecular Biology or Molecular Diagnostics companies wishing to develop new applications using ZNA™.
