Gabriel Festoc, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Gabriel Festoc joined Polyplus-transfection® as Chairman in February 2009. Previously, Gabriel was the founder (2000), Chairman & CEO of GeneSystems (now part of the Pall Corporation). In addition, Gabriel has worked as a senior consultant for a number of biotechnology companies and financial investors.
Karine Lignel
Ms. Karine Lignel is an Investment Director at CM-CIC Capital Finance. She has an engineer degree (ENSIA, France) and an MBA in Finance (IGIA, Paris). She started her career in the food industry, and joined the Venture Capital more than 10 years ago.
Ms. Lignel currently seats on the Board or Strategic Committee of Antidot, Ariana Pharmaceuticals, EndoControl, ImmunID, Nanobiotix, Oncodesign, Polyplus-transfection® and PX therapeutics.
Michel Ronc
Dr. Michel Ronc acted for the Elf Aquitaine group as R&D manager for the energy efficiency/renewable energy sector, as director of innovation and director of international development (Europe, Germany, Elf Antargaz). From 1984 to 1991, he was President and CEO of Inovelf (Europe) and Elf Technologies Inc. (in the USA, where he worked), venture capital subsidiaries of the Elf Aquitaine group which, under his leadership, made 36 investments in the energy, fine chemistry, environment-safety and biotechnology sectors with an outstanding financial performance (overall gross IRR close to 20%) and the setting up of several partnerships between holding companies and the group’s operational branches (including Sanofi). Since 2001 he has worked as a consultant with investors, the Total group, regional institutions and SMEs in the environment and health sectors. He contributes his experience and his large network of industry contacts. From 2005 to 2007 Michel Ronc has been Chairman and CEO of Alsace Amorçage, a seed investment company. Since 2005 he is founding Partner at Demeter Partners, a French PE management company exclusively dedicated to Cleantech investments. Demeter partners is currently managing Demeter 1, € 105M, and Demeter 2, € 200M – PE funds dedicated to French, German and Spanish SMEs running their business in the fields of eco-industries and eco-energies. He has also been CEO of AIRFI Conseil, acting on behalf of Techfund, the management company of AIRFI, the regional PE fund in Alsace. He represents TechFund/AIRFI on the board of Directors of Polyplus-transfection®.
Gilles Alberici
Gilles Alberici, PharmD, PhD has 25 years of experience in the European pharmaceutical industry. From 1994 to 2007, Gilles was in the Mérieux Group, then founded and managed IMTIX, then IMTIX-SangStat, and eventually founded OPi, a company dedicated to rare and severe diseases. OPi was acquired by EUSA Pharma in 2007.
Gilles is the founder of Octalfa SAS (www.octalfa.eu). Octalfa is a family-owned, independent investment company specializing in Life Sciences. Octalfa also holds the Dominique & Tom Alberici-Octalfa Corporate Foundation, to help cancer patients and disabled people, and to support projects designed to improve their medical care (www.fondation-dominique-alberici.org).
Gilles is an independent Board member at Polyplus-transfection®.
Anne-Lise Monjanel
Dr. Anne-Lise Monjanel is one of the founders of Polyplus-transfection® SA. Anne-Lise previously served as Product Manager for Bioblock Scientific (now Thermo Fisher) and as a Professor in the French National Education System. She serves as Marketing & Communication Manager and Deputy CEO at Polyplus-transfection®.
